Jupiter 암호화폐 drops 9% despite strong showing in Solana attack study
Jupiter’s Ultra 거래 service generated far fewer sandwich attacks than some competing Solana d Apps, as shown by a new three-year academic study.
This points to Jupiter’s pursuit of safer trade execution. But it comes as JUP fell more than9%from its latest high, following a sharp price rally that it witnessed.
The studylooked at sandwich attacks on six blockchains. Researchers pointed out 28million cases on the Solana network involving transactions that users expected protection.
A sandwich attack begins when a bot spots an incoming trade. What it then does is buy the asset first, causing the price to go higher before the original transaction goes through. It then proceeds to sell immediately, which leaves the trader with a worse price.
Jupiter Ultra users saw fewer of these attacks compared with users from other 거래 platforms.
Jupiter had an overall score of0. 7, meaning that attacks happened less often than it was thought it might have by researchers. Axiom scored 18. 9, Photon 11. 1, and BullX and GMGM both scored over 10.
Those figures do not mean Jupiter has stopped sandwich attacks completely. Instead, they show an interesting case where the way in which a 거래 application handles orders can affect the risk.
Jupiter attempts to front-run trades and also will auto-manage how much 변동성 price movement a user is willing to tolerate. Its system also checks different 거래 routes and tries to select the one likely to deliver the best final result.
The positive security finding did not stop JUP from falling9. 49%to around$0. 337at the time of this writing.
Its decline followed a rapid advance from around the$0. 22price level to nearly$0. 372. That represented an increase of roughly69%, making some profit-taking unsurprising.
The first price to be watched will be the$0. 32price level where buyers intervened in the latest session. If it fails, JUP may drop$0. 30, followed by a stronger support area around the$0. 29price level.
A rally above$0. 35would improve the situation for the short-term perspectives. It would have to overcome the recent$0. 37-$0. 38peak for the rally to continue.
